Double the Chocolate, Double the Love
And so it begins….
This is the first of many entries in my brewing program blog of adventures in craft beer. My name is Joe and I am currently enrolled in the Certificate in Applied Craft Brewing through Regis University. Be sure to click the link for details about the program.
My wife (Colleen) and I started brewing beer in 2015 (We have a great craft brewing story!). That first year we brewed 100 gallons of beer that we ended up sharing (mostly) as gifts with many of our friends and family. We took some risks, and experimented with the different styles… and enjoyed them all. From our Cloudy Macbeth Amber to Pieter’s Wicked Stout, it has been a very adventurous ride.
I am currently performing most of my internship duties and learning at a local brewery named The Brew On Broadway, or as they like to call it — The BoB. Paul, the owner, and Sam, the head brewer, have been great to work with. I will be sharing my escapades at the BoB over the next several weeks, as I work to complete my internship. Be prepared for some information that may teach you a thing or two – I love sharing my knowledge of brewing with others, and I’m looking forward to learning a lot so I can grow my own knowledge.
Once the internship is complete, Colleen and I will work towards sharing the different events we are planning with all of you. We would love to have tastings and attend pourings, and plan to invite our followers to join us on these occasions. We look forward to getting to know each of you as time progresses. In the meantime, enjoy a great beer with friends and family, and stay tuned for our Offroad Brewing Company Adventures!
Cheers,
Joe & Colleen
